Nassir al-Sayeid al-Nour

  Omar Alsaiem is a Sudanese novelist and short story writer. Born in Kusti city 1972 and graduated from the University of Khartoum Department of Art with a degree of philosophy and Arabic literature. He published five short story collections, three novels and two poetry collections. His works are highly praised by critics for their deeply humanistic and creative innovative writing techniques. In addition to that, he widely contributed to the Sudan cultural general scene by writing on different political and cultural issues including intellectual debates. His writing style of the short story has been cited as one of leading and renewable that widely influencing the younger writer’s generation. Moreover, his works marked by linguistic ingenuity representing the scope of narrative images he managed successfully bridging between the poetic language and the worlds of narrative events.
