Tasnim Taha

Tasnim Taha, born in 1982 in the city of Shendi in northern Sudan, is a writer, novelist, short-story author, translator, and public intellectual currently living in France. She graduated from Al Neelain University, Faculty of Arts, with a major in French, and later obtained a Master’s degree in Humanities from Clermont-Ferrand University. Her writing, shaped by longing, memory, and the turbulence of exile, spans short stories, novels, and reflective prose. Among her acclaimed works are Artemis’s Arrows, The Bridge, Sana–Cairo–Khartoum, The Wandering Da’mi, and Hard Labor. In 2025, she released her historical novel The Granddaughter of Gardon Pasha, further establishing her place among contemporary Arab voices.
