Baladi Magazine welcomes a variety of genres that focus on fantastical, reflective, and futuristic themes. Please include a bio and links to your efforts on behalf of decolonization and support for indigenous peoples with your submission.

Submission Guidelines for Baladi Magazine

1. All submissions must be made through our platform at this link: https://baladimagazine.com/submissions/
2. Please upload your work as a Word document and make sure the file is accessible.
3. Submissions must not use AI under any circumstances.
4. Instead of AI, please use dictionaries or trusted language resources.
5. We welcome submissions in Arabic, especially if writing in English feels difficult. We also welcome bilingual submissions in English and another language if the writer translates their own work or uses an experienced translator.
6. For poems or essays, it would be wonderful to include images related to your theme. Make sure to credit the photographer or source of the image.

8. Our magazine is published every Saturday.
9. Payment is based on our budget. We offer compensation for poems, essays, and artwork.
10. We accept previously published work, but if your poem or essay appears in Baladi first, you must clearly state to any other platform that it was originally published with us.
11. If you are a new writer or poet, please provide us with a short biography and a photo. If you prefer not to share a photo, a short bio line will be enough.
12. If you have an Instagram account, send it as well so we can tag you and create a collaboration post.
